Becoming a Driving Instructor isn't exactly one of the easiest tasks I have undertaken, however looking back, it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made.

It became apparent from the start that I needed to stand out from the ever increasing crowd of Driving Instructors. I have nothing against the Corsa, Clio, Astra or the other vehicles more commonly used teach in, I tested them all, but nothing turned heads like the BMW MINI and nothing put a smile on my face like the new MINI did. It was decided that paying £13 K for the car would offer the potential students a driving experience rather than just lessons.

I wanted to offer my students an 'experience'. I decided the way to go was to create a Mini driving school......2DRIVE4
The first car I bought to teach in was the yellow BMW Mini One, dual controlled, air conditioned, alloys, height adjustable seats & steering and most of all.........
......... it stood out from the crowd.

After a couple of years had passed by the opportunity of expansion arrived. I started training a Driving Instructor with a view to working with me, Andy sailed through his exams proving to be a credit to me and himself. Now he is a fully qualified Driving instructor using the blue MINI COOPER in the picture on the far right.

I am Matt, the owner of 2Drive4 (Grade 5 Instructor and Fleet Driver Trainer). I am 35 and married to Sonia, we have two children Jacqui and Ellie and live in Horncastle. I have been teaching people to learn to drive for over 3 years in and around the locality.

I am not going to write pages and pages going on about how good I am because that just isn't what I am about, but I will say that I love my job and I think that that comes across in my lessons, well, most of the time !.

I personally think that the enjoyment of driving comes from how the Instructor teaches the pupil, If the instructor doesn't enjoy what they are doing why should the student ?
Believe me when I say that there are plenty of driving instructors out there that obviously don't enjoy what they are doing.

I would like to take this oppertunity to thank all of my ex-students because they are the people that have made my job a pleasure.
THANKYOU

I am now enjoying the fruits of my labour, I am very successful and normally have a waiting list as well as a VERY HIGH PASS RATE and the best thing is that I love my job and am passionate about it and because of this ex pupils readily recommend me to their friends. The second MINI stands out even more because of the 'viper' stripes, which the company has adopted as a trademark.
